Would be a solid pick up.

Cap/Roster Implications
— Bobby Marks (@BobbyMarks42) July 10, 2023
- Philadelphia is a projected $6.6M over the luxury tax
- Reed has veto power on any trade and can't be moved to Utah for a full year
- 76ers with 13 guaranteed contracts
- Utah will have the $7.7M room midlevel available now https://t.co/fHDTLQIdMs

Sorry just saw your post. Reed is a young home grown athletic undersized center who has improved every year with the Sixers. Played solid filling in for Embiid. Has some playoff experience now. Majority of Sixers fans wanted him back

Dumb. Already too much with the play-in teams and now this?
Play-in has been massive success for the NBA. Idk if this will be as successful but it'll generate extra revenue and ratings for games in November after a few years of proper implementation and marketing.
All the games will count towards reg season games as well - so it's not extra games other than the finals.
Of course it's another cash grab. The point is, I think the average fan dislikes the idea, and the casual fan might find it a turnoff. Short-term it might make the league money, but is it sustainable? In my eyes, it's gimmicky at best. I was fine with the play-in during the Covid year, but I find it not so appealing since. Basically more than half the teams make it past the regular season now. Yawn.

GOAT
Among the GCOAT for sure. But not yet THE GCOAT.
Still has time to change that, just needs 7 more rings and he will be the GCOAT.
Doesn't diminish in any way that he is one of the top 2 active coaches.

IMO Pop is Greatest coach of all time and don't think it's all that close either. Agree to disagree.

Blazers GM Joe Cronin: "We're going to be patient. We're going to do what's best for our team. We're going to see how this lands. And if it takes months, it takes months."
— Tim MacMahon (@espn_macmahon) July 10, 2023
Cronin says a deal that makes everyone happy often requires a list of more than one preferred destination.

Fair enough. I don't care for the way folks like to diminish anyone to prop up someone else (so I won't partake in that).
Pop's resume is impeccable and what he does with Victor Wembanyama will go a long way in determining popular opinion about his overall legacy.

If I was a Bronsexual , I would prop up the hell out of Pop bc the highest NBA finals point differential in history was from 2014 Finals when Spurs smashed the Heat by 70 points

Right. They can say whatever they want, but it wouldn't matter because the GCOAT coached THE GOAT in two separate stints that both ended in 3-peats.
