LMAO absurd

This

You know he will hold the record for only as long as Jimmy G. was the highest paid QB in the NFL.

Jaylen was always getting that contract once he made all nba team. That's how it's set up. It's better than losing him for nothing. Celtics had only 2 options - either trade him or give him this contract. They did the right thing.

And after reading this, wow, this dude sincerely wants to make a difference, and the Celtics are going to back him. Folks were worried he might lose interest in his NBA craft because of all his off-the-court community initiatives but he seems fully committed both ways. Just work on your handles and less turnovers in the playoffs Jaylen and we're good!

Jaylen is a genuinely a good dude - in fact many NBA players spend time with ppl and give back to the communities - more than ever before.

NBA players deserve the money they're getting and they have made this game this popular. It's not the same game that was played even 15 years ago so good for them for taking this game to the new level and with that comes more revenue and therefore bigger contracts.

Who should get that money? The owners?

Lol not only appropriate but also accurate. This is exactly the vibe you were sending with your post. Whining about current generation of players who are better - on and off the floor & putting previous generation of players on pedestal is "get off my lawn" behavior.

Stop taking credit away from current generation of players who have taken the league to much higher levels & deserve the recognition and money for it. The game is completely diff than what was being played 20-30 years so full credit to the current players (and coaches) for making that happen with their skill and creativity and outside the box thinking.

…and off the field is not even a comparison. Other than few exceptions - most players in previous generations were scared of pissing off the half the country and risk losing money.

Dame should have left Portland 2 years ago

Signed that massive deal and now wants to pick where he goes
In the wake of Jeff Van Gundy's firing in late June, ESPN set their eyes on making Burke the first woman TV analyst on the NBA Finals and hiring Rivers to join Hall of Fame play-by-player, Mike Breen.

Love Burke and Doc replacing Jackson and JVG. Good move.
Lifelong Suns fan here to just post these fire ass jerseys
