i'd prolly still take Reggie Miller's 8 pts in 9 seconds to come from behind and beat the Knicks at MSG in a playoff game and the iconic reaction that came with it

That was a diff game iirc - when he scored 25pts in the 4Q. Probably a year or two before the 8pt in under 9 second game.
Reggie was my fav player in the 90s and tortured the Knicks and clashed with Spike on more than a few occasions.
Loved seeing a scrawny dude talked trashed and get into fights with big name stars.

The Lakers have had recent success signings veterans to minimum deals (Malik Monk and Dennis Schröder) that led to better contracts elsewhere.

They just don't seem to tolerate excessive whining. Luka b***hed about a call and instantly got his second tech and thrown out of the game. I'd love to see that in the NBA. Now they did screw up on a call for Dillon Brooks that I thought was soft but I would love to see more guys get T'ed up for b***hing about calls almost instantly; especially, after they initiate all the contact.
