To be fair to Dame - I don't think he demands a trade if his team was in the conf finals. Miami was also 8th seed and I don't think if Dame goes there - they become a prohibitive favorites.
Having said that - signing that supermax extension last summer and then demanding a trade this summer - and also doing everything to lower the return Portland can get - is messed up.

The Blazers came up IMO. Much better haul than they would have gotten from Miami. I'm glad Portland didnt bend over for Dame and give him what he wanted. They are in much better shape now.
