The trade is a TBD incomplete for Portland until there's a resolution on where Jrue Holiday eventually goes.

This. They got a few nice pieces in Ayton, Camara and a future unprotected 1st from Milwaukee. They should get some nice compensation back for Holiday. Going full rebuild mode.

Its an unprotected 2029 pick so it might be late 1st, or it might be the 1st pick in the draft, its not like Giannis and Lillard will still be in their primes then. Lillard is out of his prime currently.
Beyond that, Ayton is an upgrade on Nurkic. Younger, better rebounder, healthier and needed a change of scenery.
