Jordan said this in the offseason to try to stop the illegal defense rule from being implemented. His plea failed. After a loss to the Charlette Hornets that season, Jordan said, "I never liked zones, I felt like that's a lazy way to play defense and with them, you can eliminate a lot of the stars making things happen."

"If teams were able to play zone defenses, Jordan said, he never would have had career he did."

Jordan was not the only star player who felt this way.

"If you guys could change one rule in the League, what would it be?"

Kevin Garnett: "No zone."
Tim Duncan: "Yeah, the zone."
Tracy McGrady: "That s**t is stupid."

Also - I do think Lebron had a terrible series…there is no denying that. But, same Dallas team swept defending champs Lakers and Kobe earlier in the playoffs. Kobe and LeBron had the same Game Score against Mavs.

Hoping Luka & ANT push each other to levels we haven't seen before over the next 8-10 years.

It's a major blemish IMO. He is not helping by blaming the role players recently . Own that s**t. It's things like that don't show up on the stat sheets that take him out of their GOAT convo.

So it looks like Porter was throwing games on purpose as well. There are other people being investigated now (not NBA players) supposedly there are text messages of people asking to throw games to pay off his gambling debt.

It's just a sports game, total witch hunt if you ask me!

"I played like s--t," James said of his performance in the 2011 Finals on his Mind the Game podcast with JJ Redick. "... I told myself the way I played, unacceptable."

Obviously rooting for my dudes Luka & Kyrie in the finals! Feel it's a toss-up series though. Mavs in 7.

I would be very surprised if the Mavs win, let alone get a game 7.

Boston in 6

C's have Porzingis *knock on wood* and Kornet back at 100%. They'll need them against Gafford and Lively. Luka and Kyrie are obviously scary AF. Just need Tatum to rise up and deliver as he's been promising all season. We'll see.

I know you detest the Celtics (as does like 90% of the nation). If the entire Boston roster and coaching staff were switched with the Pacers and it was Dallas-Indiana in the Finals who would be your "dudes" now? I'm absolutely serious with this question :)

I do detest the Celtics - but I really like Tatum, Brown (dude is a Cal Bear - I can't hate on him), Jrue, Unicorn, White - I like all those players. They're all likable who are tough to hate on.

Having said that - Luka has been dude from well before he was in the league. The way he controls the game and his IQ is something I highly value and he was already a vet in those areas before he ever played in USA. I said it at the time that Mavs got a generational player at 5. He's my second favorite player in the NBA.

…and Kyrie is Kyrie. He's the most aesthetically pleasing player in the history of the game. Most skilled player in the history of the game. He's like Federer of the NBA - in the sense that - if you're gonna teach a kid how to play basketball - you show them Kyrie imo. Obviously I watched him play every game when Bron and him were together - so I really appreciated what he could do on the floor.

Once Lakers were out - I was rooting for these guys to win it all.
