TOLD YOU

"Opting out isn't just about bigger paychecks -- it's about claiming our rightful share of the business we've built, improving working conditions, and securing a future where the success we create benefits today's players and the generations to come. We're not just asking for a CBA that reflects our value; we're demanding it, because we've earned it."

The nerve these women have is just insane. You earned it? Your league hemorrhages money every year. No other business in the world would be allowed to fail for almost 3 decades and stay in business, let alone "demand" that its you right to have bigger paychecks. SMFH.

See here's the kicker.

the wnba can't turn a profit while barely paying its players

wnba collective salary is 9%. Most sports leagues are in 40/60%

wnba is built upon the backs of hardly playing its players.

its a huge factor in CC hate by veterans

And nba writing off millions every year ti get more online Twitter lovers

and I think nba will earn a profit over time. Only a matter of time for wnba shoes and fashion to take off, and I think it has a good shot of replacing MLS and maybe nhl ( which is forever maligned as line as being "white" by people that never been around youth hockey)

Cant wait to see the ratings

By comparison : Liberty/Aces game one of the finals last year did 729k.

So it's getting better than some nhl game 1s

nhl is dead lol

with ratInga like that, league should very profitable with $5m salaries, no brainer

Number went up a bit while going against the full slate of NFL Sunday games. That's pretty impressive.

That's a really good number, big jump from the earlier games in the series.

😆 🤣

That's incredible!

its hard for me to understand

for comparison, 2023 Stanley Cup finals had 2.45m-2.75m viewers

safe to say US prefers wnba over nhl in 5 years, crazy!

Rumor mill has had the Fever as one of three teams talking to Sun coach Stephanie White (the other teams being Connecticut and Chicago).
Deserved

Oakland is getting a team called valkyries. i don't much care for that name, and i don't see how it relates to the area. should be maybe Chips like silicon valley tech chips or the entrepreneurs would be good. or the techies. now toronto got a team and called it Toronto Tempo. that's a great name. basketball is all about great tempo and it's alliterative.

Swifties might be invading the W next
