While I agree the fight sucked, but he did what the game plan called for. Everyone knows this is how Romero fights. His whole game plan is just counter punch. Dana called him out as well for that. If Romero just wants to sit there and only counter attack when the other person throws combos, than that's his fault. It will make for boring fights because good fighters won't fall for it.

Yup, it takes two to tango and Yoel wasn't trying to win the title. Also a card system won't work in American MMA, it's too subjective and wasn't really all that popular with fighters in Pride because of that.

Yup. When you're the contender, YOU have to bring it. You can't wait on the other guy to do stuff. He had 5 rounds to something and never did. The only time he threw a combo was in the last 10 sec of the fight. And even then he kept pounding his chest after each punch. I've always been a Romero fan, but that was very disappointing.

And I agree that card system would start a lot of conspiracy theories that wouldn't be good for the sport.

I'm talking about the likes of Floyd Mayweather. Jabbed his way to decisions and these judges gave him crazy victories.
the likes of Daniel Cormier jand some lay and pray wrestlers, just sitting on their opponents and getting a victory via decision.

Other no names tried to do the ,''bicycle,'' running tactic in the UFC and failed. The judges as well as Dana put a stop to that. Now that you have a champion doing it ..it's going to get boring real fast if he gets away with it.

It's like having Jon Jones jabbing and running around clinching ......etc. going for decisions. Nobody wants to watch that torture.

DC has more finishes in fights he won in the UFC than decisions. He does more than lay and pray. He has something like 7 wins by KO/TKO/submission to I think 4 decision victories.

Funny how you lay blame on Adesanya but yet lay no blame on Romero. He is equally as guilty, it takes two to tango and Yoel didn't do anything to try and truly win that fight.

GSP always fought defensively after his loss to Serra. He sat behind his jab and scored takedown to close out rounds and beat guys by out pointing them. Unfortunately his opponents usually didn't have an answer for that so we had a load of uneventful fights for the most part yet he was still pushing a million ppv buys each time he set foot in the octagon.
