He got kneed in the face, then punched hard again, then took another 5, 6 punches in the face. The ref has to protect fighters from themselves at times.

Mixed feelings on the stoppage. As it was happening, I initially was thinking it's late, but then he started to get up and thought it was improper. If a guy can take 10 punches to the face and get up, so be it. He wasn't out.

ya. as ref was jumping in, Cruz was getting up. unfortunate, but i just dont see how cruz could've won that had the ref not stopped it.
