Watched WrestleMania X-Seven again today, since I'm anticipating 32 will suck. Hard to believe it's been 15 years to the day (April 1st, 2001).

and of course other matches were clearly better than the championship match, but that's not the point. when you got HBK, Taker, Foley, on the WM card, Vince pretty much knew they would steal the show, but you don't put them after the championship match. he's not putting Shane / Taker last because he knows that will be a better match, he's doing so Reigns doesn't close the show getting booed out in front of 100K+ people.
Or because they have a big ending planned. Think of what's at stake. Control of Raw, Undertaker's final WM match. If Shane wins it's not going to be clean.

I find it pretty stupid, but don't really mind if someone enjoys this or anything else. I'm curious though, with this being such a popular thread, if this is representative of bay area dudes, or if this is a bunch of jrg's who keep this among the most active threads in the Lot? In my experience, in the Bay Area, some youths (including myself somwewhat) liked it in the 80's, and some did a bit into the 90's, but don't think it was particularly big in the Bay. Most of you dudes aren't from the Bay or California, right?

San Jose.. Watch it when I can. Went to wrestlemania last year at Levis and it was insane. Crowd was better and louder than any 49ers game

The first mania I've ever seen was one of my favs.
WMX Hbk vs Razor-first ever ladder match.
I've never seen anything like it.
Taker fought but had the dead man gimmick in full swing with the glowing urn and montage.
Iirc Hitman vs Luger and winner fought Yokozuna later that night.

My first WWE experience was, and no kidding, a house show in Guam. Legion of Doom, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, and Sgt Slaughter (back when he was the evil Iraqi traitor) were there. Fun times. Ultimate Warrior was supposed to be there but didnt show up sadly.

lol, Joe was bleeding pretty badly though. They should just let it go for NXT

Nakamura vs Zayn will probably be the best match all year TBPH. Hard to top a match that was THAT great.
