If 2017 Vince booked the Attitude Era

There is an article on E! Online that talks about Brie Bella and Daniel Bryan announcing the name of their yet-to-arrive baby. Brie revealed that the baby will be named Birdy Joe Danielson, mainly because both she and her husband have names starting with "B" and she wanted to continue that trend.

So out of all the real names that start with a B, they chose Birdy?

I hope they realize her nickname is going to be B.J.

It would be WCW and there is no AE without WCW's contributions. I don't have a problem with part timers in moderation they just went too far on it.

The part timers are drawing more in terms of revenue and social media interest than the regulars. Vince wouldn't be using the part timers if they weren't making him money. Despite all the complaints from the ICW and casuals alike, the company is turning a profit.

Investors in WWE were as pumped as one of its superstars Thursday after the wrestling outfit reported a fourth-quarter revenue gain of 17 percent, smashing the 7-percent increase anticipated by analysts.

Meanwhile, the number of paid subscribers to the WWE Network — the over-the-top offering launched three years ago — climbed 14 percent during the fourth quarter to 1.41 million.

Earnings per share of 10 cents, up from a loss of 2 cents in the year-earlier quarter, also beat expectations of 9 cents.

WWE stock rose 8.7 percent on the sales surprise to close at $20.96 per share.

WWE solidified the stock's gain during a late-morning earnings call by predicting a 25-percent bump in adjusted earnings for 2017 — to a record $100 million.

Fourth-quarter revenue of $194. 9 million was up from $166.2 million in the year-earlier quarter — a gain driven by all four of WWE's operating divisions.

"There is no one talent that makes this big wheel keep on turning," WWE chief Vince McMahon said during the call.

It's not surprising. Austin v Savage or Austin v Hogan would draw mega bucks in the AE but you can't create Rock unless you use him at WrestleMania. They may still be churning a profit but it's milking a bunch of 50 year olds and Cena is the only actual star they have. They're in no danger of going out of business and the Network allows them to expand internationally so they'll be fine but it's Goldberg v Lesnar is headlining WM in a squash rematch from earlier in the year. If I told you that in 03 you'd rolling on the ground laughing.

Lol, wrestling boards are going to be fun to read when all of this happens.

The choice on which wrestler would be the first to beat Braun Strowman cleanly came down to either Roman Reigns or Brock Lesnar, and as we saw at Fastlane, WWE went with Reigns being the guy.

Some fans were upset that this didn't happen on a bigger stage than Fastlane, but in Vince McMahon's mind, there isn't too many things "bigger" than setting up Reigns to face Undertaker at WrestleMania and so he had no qualms about letting him get the win. Reigns is also being groomed to take on Lesnar later this summer and came out on the wrong side in all the angles leading up to the match so he pretty much had to win.

There's also the contributing factor that Brock is going to get the Universal title so it didn't make sense to also give him a win over Strowman sometime down the road as well.
