I agree longer than 2 weeks but I want it to lead to us finally getting the Shield triple threat match at WM. And don't turn DA because the fans want to cheer for him, use the story to turn Roman finally.

if they were smart they would keep the Shield together, and have all of them turn heel. if Roman does well a heel, then you can have the Shield turn on Roman in a year from now and Roman will probably have a much higher chance then at getting accepted as a face.

I have always thought that turning Roman for a good long while was the best way to eventually get him accepted as a face when the time would be right to turn him back.

it's the only way to do it when fans don't accept a character. it took Vince a while to figure that out when the product was stale in the early / mid 90s. now for some reason he has the same mindset again. if The Rock was wrestling in this era, he would've just kept him as Rocky Maivia for 5 years then released him lol.

Oh really?

the rock already said he would've never developed that kind of personality without being a heel.

same with Cena, him being a heel "first" (meaning his first major character) helped him out.

if Vince would've kept him as Rocky Maivia, he would've just remained a mid carder and probably would've gotten released 5 years later. Cena already had a name for himself as a "popular" heel before turning face, and Cena was popular as a face for a while until it got stale.

Although he was close to being released prior to his rapper gimmick.

You are right, and I forgot about his heel turn

Reigns and the Shield were heels when they started.

Reigns was a "heel" for like 6 months and then they forced him as the face of the company. That was way different from how The Rock developed in the NOD, then into the Corporate champ, THEN as a face. it was years later...

Well it's a different time now. Back then Vince was fighting to save his company from WcW so he threw everything he had against them including pushing everyone. Now its just a matter of who is marketable with the general audience because the demographic has certainly changed over the years. Of course Rock wouldnt be Rock in today's WWE.
Bad news for the Bludgeon Brothers....

-- Yesterday it was noted that Erick Rowan suffered some sort of arm injury at SummerSlam and was unable to compete at the Smackdown house show in Atlantic City last night. The fear was that he may have torn his biceps and that is exactly what has happened, according to Dave Meltzer.

-- There is no official statement by WWE yet nor is there a timetable for how long he will be sidelined, but an injury like that will lead to an absence of multiple months.

-- The Bludgeon Brothers - Rowan and Luke Harper - are scheduled to defend their Tag Team titles tonight on Smackdown and it is almost a lock that they will drop the titles to the New Day with Harper looking at an extended time on the shelf.
Roman would've not gotten over as a heel. He just doesn't have the personality. Hiding behind Shield is all he can do.

That being said people are begging for a new rivalry and to end the part timers. At least Roman can be the guy who puts that guy over.

Heel Roman would just equal him hiding behind the shield and weaseling his way to victory getting booed out of the building. I.e. when KO was champion.

ya i understand that, i was just arguing against your Cena point, since that's what you brought up and it didn't apply to what what i said

his main demo are kids now, so to him it doesn't make a difference since a 8 year old won't understand the concept of forced faces or heels. but just because it's a PG product now, doesn't mean he has to go back to old school character development.

must've been the weight of that plastic hammer they carry around lol. (or at least they look fake)

I kinda liked Harper as a singles guy
I hated the Bludgeon Brothers. They went to hard on the spots. No reason to go full blown heavy on the powerbombs and get someone kilt.

Eh this is nothing. If you want a tag team who tried to kill their opponents, see the Road Warriors.

He's a great wrestler but they're scared to properly push him.
lol Becky tried so hard to be a heel but was constantly getting support from the crowd.
