wraslin is f**ked until Vince gives it up.

The main roster is all about who will make the most money for the company. That is how it's always been.

It's always been that way, except for those 5 years during the AE, and that's because Vince had no choice to but give other guys pushes since he lost most of his stars to WCW. He had to roll the dice and go with the talent that the fans seemed to gravitate towards (Outlaws, Austin, Foley, etc). RIght now ratings are steady, business is steady, and he has no reason to try and get really creative, which sucks for us

Wrestling needs to go through another Monday night wars type of thing to be good again.

TNA tried that and failed miserably. No one can compete against them now.

I bet you could, as long as from the jump you weren't claiming to be PG or family friendly, and let people know it's Sports Entertainment! If some form of an ECW were to start now with a decent roster I think it would do fairly well, even with all the movements.

They really cant. The USA Network won't allow it. That and they have since become a public trading company now. It was only a few months ago when they were forced to change the name of the Moolah tournament after Snickers found out about Moolah's past.

Yup. Even with CZW out there, which is somewhat like ECW, even if they had a big following they would never get on a channel like USA. For WWE to go back to raunchy programming, would be a death sentence business wise. They're ratings would go up a bit, but they would lose a lot of big sponsors, and wouldn't be able to make their product more global. Keeping it PG is best for their business.

But I don't know how this is going to work going forward. Wrestling isn't getting bigger here in the States, but WWE is getting bigger on a global scale. If they keep going with this almost rated G programming, imo, they will have to open up companies in different continents/countries. WWE Europe, WWE India, WWE Middle East...Otherwise they won't get enough financial backing from US companies because of low ratings.

Also, I'm not sure how this new generation views wrestling. Just by looking at the crowds, it's adults and kids 10 years or younger. Once these kids get close to puberty, they turn WWE off now. These same kids that are going to events now, something tells me they won't be taking their kids to WWE events when they are adults. We still watch because we grew up on it and it was cool too watch wrestling for about a 10 year period. Plenty of teens and young adults were into wrestling when I was a teen, that isn't the case anymore.

They need to find a median, it can't continue being this PG but they can't go back to AE style either.

I meant if the new company went the route of ECW, with more "extreme" programming. Not attitude era, but just something that pushes more boundaries. Or maybe some creativity with matches. Having the owner of the Jags/Fulham funding another wrestling company would give it a huge boost.
RoH is probably about as close to ECW one will get now.
