Haha the timeliness of that report. I wouldnt be surprised if he got the information from some rival wrestling company wanting to tarnish the WWE brand on WM week. Oliver loves to go overboard sometime for ratings and a certain election in 2016 is one example.

Also probably coincidence, but I read that AEW was giving some form of medicare to a degree to its roster. This news, than Oliver's report....hmmm.
He's not lying about the wrestlers being paid contractors and not having healthcare though. There's definitely some exaggeration but I think he did it so nonwrestling fans can stay interested in the show and not change the channel and be better educated about the life of wrestlers because a lot of people don't realize how demanding and hard their job really is.
He did the right thing. There is a reason wrestlers often compare their lifestyle to the carnie way of life. How many bearded ladies you know that got full medical and dental? Pro Wrestling is a consumer of talented people. The least they can f**king do is take care of them to an extent.
Yep. They need time off. And that would also allow for others to get pushes.

A perfect example is the kofi angle. Big e and woods get a few easy weeks, while kofi puts in work. Then kofi gets a week off while they put in work.

Your champs can have non wrestling or light nights.

Also cut your top TV guys out of house shows.
Not even gonna lie y'all that segment with Ronda, Charlotte and Becky getting arrested was awesome, when Charlotte knee'd Ronda I was dying of laughter

I never said he was lying, but you have to question the timeliness of this report. If Oliver was so adamant about the welfare of these wrestlers, he wouldn't have waited until WM week to release it.

But to quote one poster from an wrestling site I frequent (yes I watch other forums that don't have gifs of the Iconics in bikinis )

Also after watching it, probably the big places where he fell down were when he was like 'the fans legit hate Vince'. Ya... nope.
Some might love to hate him, others might hate to love him, but he gets a massive pop whenever he shows up for Raw.

The other place was pulling footage of Bret from Wrestling With Shadows, which is as worky work a work shoot as you get and so dated, if it were human, it'd be well past voting age by now.

Oh.. and King Kong Bundy. The dude lived to be 63 and not a lot of guys his size can say that. Either way, using him as an example of the bad WWE is like... what? People get old, yo. There were plenty of other examples where the WWE could certainly be painted into the picture without issue. Like Benoit and his family. But breaking out King Kong Bundy just because he died recently is just a headscratcher.
That 6 woman tag match was highly entertaining...especially after the match....Charlotte gave Rhonda that knee..holy fcuk

Mr oliver was invited to mania?

Charlotte landed some nice looking kicks, and that last knee to Ronda's head was the funniest thing ever.

go charlotte!
@VA

I think the release of that is perfect. If that wouldve been released before the fastlane ppv, it wouldve disappeared after a couple of days. A lot of media is gonna be there for WM and these questions will come up now. People in charge, Vince, Steph, HHH, etc., will have to talk to the media a lot this week and no doubt those questions will get asked.

As far as Vince getting pops, he does, but i dont think that means anything. For the most part its just a nostalgia thing...The iwc doesnt like him, and everybody whos invested in wrestling wishes he would just go away already.

The King Kong Bundy thing was wierd, he could've picked out 50 other wrestlers who died much sooner than he did...
I was kinda surprised he didn't mention the Benoit tragedy at all.
His point on fans being able to change things see Roman Reigns is silly. It's even funnier because fans didn't win that battle he got cancer.

Only the wrestlers can change their situation by walking out/ striking. And that's not going to happen. The locker room leaders are typically well taken care of.

I think Vince gets a Pop, because......

1. People like his song
2. People miss him coming out every week like he did in the attitude era
3. To some degree you gotta credit the man, that gave us all that entertainment and keeps us coming back like drug addicts.
