Should be #2. I personally have lost all interest in football outside of the Niners but the same has happened to me with baseball and hockey.
I think #1 is a real possibility though. He could make it work, using some of the recent failings and positivies from the AAF.

I wonder if the AAF folding has Vince thinking:
1) "Great! Less competition!"
or
2) "Uh oh....Had backing of NFL, CBS, Lots of air time, and lost money quickly....."
I've heard a bunch of Analysts saying that Football has already reached the Saturation point. College & NFL. NFLN Year round. Combine, Draft. OTA's. Training Camp. Hard Knocks. SEC Network. Big Ten Network.
Saturation.
Less competition, already made his chances for survival increase. Football has reached that saturation point, and all these new DIVA NFL atheletes make wanting to read, watch, or listen to those outlets about the game less appealing as it once was.

Taker isn't gonna do it. If anything they'll just have Jeff Hardy job to him.
No reason to Job an old guy, throw Mustafa Ali in there. Let him lose a close match, so he still gets a bit of a rub from the match.

I think his back up plan to all of this is sell to Disney. He'll get all that lost XFL money back.
True, if all else fails, he could sell WWE and ride off into the sunset.
