Ya that was the main issue. What are you gonna show? Im glad they didnt do the lame black screen behind them and wrestlers cutting 10 sec promos like wwe does. Plus the had a certain amount of time and wanted to show case the talent.

Did they surpass wwe in one night? No. But it was a good start.

There's stuff from the very indie promotions that they could show. WWE did it for years when they didn't have the TNA stuff on people. I mean, there was a guy with no legs wrestling in the battle royal. I would have liked to have seen that guy's story ahead of time. Just saying.

For the most part i dont follow the indie scene, i know about the top indie talents, but that's about it. I didnt know most of the talent last night. And if they couldn't show their stuff from roh, tna, etc., they wouldve ended up having to show them wrestling in high school gyms. Which wouldve looked worse. It wouldve made it look like the aew roster is a bunch of guys who just wrestled as a part time job. And im sure time was limited. Doing a vignette for 40 different people wouldve taken up a lot of time.

They did do some features on some of these indie guys on their "Road to Double or Nothing" web series on YouTube (which FYI is separate from their "Being the Elite" web series). Dustin Thomas was one of them featured. They promoted the series on their social media accounts.

They probably were held off the PPV itself for time constraints. But with TV, they can do more for the lesser known talents with getting them introduced to the audience.

That match was amazing.

Best part of aew is that we finally got to see a god damn piledriver again lol

Tag team wrestling will be alive and well in AEW and will always be a focus and not an afterthought like Vince has done. I really wish Vince would take the division seriously and allow those talents a chance to shine.

Has there been any reports on why he hates it so much? Its so frustrating that Corbin and Lashley can be on tv throughout the show but the tag team champions are all but forgotten.
Huge positive buzz about AEW everywhere. Trending on YouTube etc.

Wayyyyyyy better than sitting through Lashley ,Corbin ,Brock and Reigns.

I wonder if they'll change things up tonight or if it'll be the same ole, same ole. I swear if we get Corbin and Lashley teaming up again...

I think last week was the least amount of highlights I watched on YouTube for either show.
And why t f is ec3 just there in the background looking at mirrors?

He should be getting victory after victory after victory after victory after victory after victory after victory after victory after victory after victory after victory after victory after victory after victory after victory after victory after victory after victory after victory after victory after victory after victory after victory after victory after victory after victory after victory after victory after victory after victory after victory after victory after victory after victory after victory after victory after victory after victory after victory after victory after victory after victory after complete victory.

I have tried. It is pretty bad.
This is the saddest Rock Bottom I've ever seen. I feel like both of them screwed up badly on the attempt.

So why was that match even on? What is the goal of that match?

To featute your (lonewolf)singles champion in a tag match?

To bury your tag champs?

To put over your contender(somehow)

I have no idea, outside of beating those jobbers the Smackdown after Mania, the IIconics have yet to win a match since they won the titles. Its absurd.
