AEW had said a while back Cody VS Sammy Guevara would be the first AEW TV match (but no clarity on if that is opening the show or if it will be some sort of promo/segment).

NXT is countering with Riddle VS Cole to open their show. They also announced a 15 minute overrun (as AEW is set to replay right after the original broadcast).

War is definitely on lol.

I think it's adorable how Kahn and company keep mentioning how they have bigger names and bigger crowds than NXT. Lol NXT is a developmental show, of course they should, they travel unlike NXT and they're trying to be a major promotion. NXT isn't. It's such a silly argument.

Ya, they should be trying to compare themselves to Roh, tna, etc. But then he looks bad by s**tting on the smaller promotions. For now, they should just shut up and focus on putting on great shows. Do that for a couple years, than you can start taking shots at WWE.

Commentary has been great. Wrestling has been great. Plus the pg13 s**t has been nice.

I'm pumped. AEW has me excited about wrestling again. The fact that the owners are billionaires this will succeed

Great show! For a first show on live TV you would have thought they'd be around for a while. JR and Tony make the show that much better.

I assumed Ciampa would be there tonight. Not Balor.

I think NXT will continue to mix in guys like KO, Nakamura, Balor, etc to familiarize WWE fans w/ NXT guys and keep eyes on the product.
