I think NXT will continue to mix in guys like KO, Nakamura, Balor, etc to familiarize WWE fans w/ NXT guys and keep eyes on the product.

This is exactly what Balor needs too. He needs to be built up again. He lost so much momentum when he got hurt and he's never been able to rebound. Maybe this will help get him back to the main event on Raw or Smackdown. Both shows did a great job tonight though.

Just don't pass out when KO shows up.
The AEW set looked good on TV. Schiavone still sounds great. The crowd was hyped all night. I loved the glass table spot. Looking forward to next week.
AEW

Good debut show. They need to get better at working around the commercials though. You cant bring two guys out to the ring, and then cut to commercial. Same with Jericho attacking Cody, most of that was during the commercial. Other than that, solid debut. Definitely gonna be watching it weekly.

Main event was a little overbooked and Mox and Omega fighting in front of the ref before they left ringside should have resulted in a DQ. Kinks aside (as they were expected), it was a good debut.
Interesting that they are keeping track of wins and loses and they are supposed to matter. It sounds good, but its gonna be hard to pull off.

Definitely a tough task to pull off as you have to account for it as you book weekly. Cody now has 3 wins which nobody else has so he makes sense as the next challenger to the title.

Looking ahead, Mox has one win (and likely 2 after he beats Spears and 3 after his match with Omega at the PPV) while Pac has 2 wins currently. Seems they will build to Moxley VS Pac for the second PPV as the title challenger which will surely be Mox as he is a babyface and sets a better dynamic for a PPV title match versus Jericho.

lol
AEW drew 1.409 million viewers. NXT drew 891,000 viewers. AEW rating 0.84; NXT 0.66.

"Dynamite" more than doubled its competition in the key adults 18-49 demographic, scoring 878,000 viewers compared to "NXT's" 414,000 (putting the USA wrestling series up 1% from its week-ago broadcast in that metric

Yeah, it had a NJPW feel where the ref has discretion on what is or isn't a DQ. But outside interference should be a DQ in a regular match.

Damn. Raw and sd pull in way more. RIP AEW.
I see that Smackdown on FOX will be tape delayed for the West Coast DirecTV feed. I am guessing that will be done everywhere else except the East Coast time zone as well.

Won't they be shooting themselves in the foot? Seems like WWE likes to brag about it's social media numbers an awful lot, and tape delay will likely cut into those numbers.

Strike one.......

Is anyone surprised? It's a brand new show that was hyped up for months.

The margins were similar across all demographics listed by ShowBuzzDaily other than advertiser-unfriendly (because they have more set purchasing habits) 50+, where NXT edged out Dynamite with a 0.36% rating to a 0.34% rating. This is a massive win for AEW and TNT, both for the most obvious reasons and because the lack of overlap with NXT viewers—especially in the key demo—suggests that AEW has a different audience that hasn't been watching WWE.
