That's the other thing too. They don't have the star power, Jericho or Cody can't bring in people. Kenny Omega is awesome but he's not well known in the states yet. They're gonna need to bring in someone bigger than Jack Swagger to really grab people's attention. In the meantime, I see them as Impact in their prime which isn't a bad thing at all.

Hes a 49ers fan, so he'll always be cool. But yeah I think he continues the wreck people gimmick since he is prepping for another Bellator match.

And you can have moxley come out and attack omega. Then cult of personality hits (even if they do not have the rights to do it, take the hit first time)

Punk working on WWE Backstage is a done deal but I guess that's a Fox thing not run by WWE.

Impact failed to build new stars which hurt them. AEW needs to build their own stars, it's paramount to success. They can and likely will steal from the WWE roster, as guys deals expire they may choose to go elsewhere but they need to steal the right guys away.

WWE has a fair share of misused/miscast talent who could potentially be big or bigger stars. AEW can capitalize on these talents who are unhappy and would love more creative freedom. But until these deals expire and they become available, you need to build up your own.

Outside of that, there are no star talents out there right now.

They obviously don't want him going to AEW. Best thing they could do would be to offer him a broadcasting gig as it fits his skill set well, maybe a little in ring return before a FT transition to the booth.

Jericho recently said this on a podcast. Seems a bit contradicting imo, especially the bolded:

On WWE releasing a statement congratulating the AEW debut:

Given how they went out on a limb to say what they are up against (Omega's comments, Cody destroying the throne and his recent letter, etc.), his statement is......eh?

Of course Jericho is the master of hyping up wrestling so it may be a ploy. Just odd given what the other top guys in AEW are saying wrt to the competition.

They need a Kevin Nash and Scott Hall signing. And then they need a great segment with them.

They also messed up by debuting this week. Opening night of hockey, playoff baseball, nxt...Tna drew 1.4 their first night, but they didnt have all that competition, especially the fact that a lot of ppl stream.

Smackdown has a 3 hour tape delay for the west coast. That's so dumb
