Honestly when I saw that AEW trademark "the First Dance" I was like "Ok Kenny I see you. You´re gonna troll Chicago with the Punk thing right?".^^

I can see them doing this, I'm just not sure how they would do it.

For me, as a fan of the OG ECW, it is, but not style wise, for me ECW was that product that I loved with guys WWE & WCW would never sign & push, l& the rapid fan base, so to be, AEW is my new ECW, it's been a long time since I've enjoyed wrestling this much, when both WCWC & ECW died wrestling went downhill, competition creates for better products, until now, WWE had no real competition despite, IMO anyway, NJPW has been 10 times better than WWE has been for years. WWE got my hopes up after 05 one night stand & then 06 with ECW revival, I was dumb enough to believe Vince would make WWE's ECW like the OG ECW, to have Big Show/Batista main event a ECW on SYFY in the Hammerstein ball room was a slap in the face to the fans there who were true, OG ECW fans.

That´s great. Darby is the perfect first feud for Punk.
Mox will face Tanahashi at some point and maybe at All Out and that´s f**king crazy. Imagine Tana´s entrance in Chicago!!!!
And I´m so happy they take the hard road with the Hangman´s story and have him lose his title shot.
It´s too soon to beat Kenny. Let him face Danielson in a main event for the AEW title.
Let him face a big star from NJPW.
There´s a cool story to write with Hangman during this time. You should tell the story that when Hangman was at his worse, the elite didn´t help him but now the Dark Order will.

Pretty much a lock that CM Punk debuts on August 20 at the United Center in Chicago. They wouldn't have moved it to that big arena or made all the Punk hints (Darby saying best in the world, MJF saying the first few sentences of the pipebomb promo) if it wasn't already set.
