Tommy is a good dude, one of the class acts left in pro wrestling, always was a Dreamer fan since OG ECW days.

Good god, all the WWE fans or just trolls on the dirt sheet websites acting like this wasn't huge or successful, like, "oh it was just Chicago, his hometown", like have they not seen every arena WWE has been to the last 7yrs, chanting CM Punk every night, people are delusional to think this wasn't a huge deal for AEW & Wrestling as a whole, now if Bryan Danielson does debut on September 22nd in NY, man, that'll be huge too.

They are sheep....my buddy was arguing this same s**te

Yep, and man I can't stop watching the debut, check this out after the show caught on camera from someone in attendance.

It wouldn't surprise me if this wasn't just a Vince idea, we all know how Triple H and Stephanie don't like Punk, it was really only Vince who saw Punk as somewhat of a draw, the other 2 didn't like him, it was clear Punk was never going back, he was happy retired, he saved his money from WWE, now he's truly back for the fans, and yes himself, he has something to prove, he still has it, look at his promo, still has it. Now I await September 22nd, Bryan Danielson in NYC. If they use Final Countdown, the crowd will go nuts, YES YES YES, I wonder who his first promo/feud will be with?

As for those saying about AEW using Christian & Matt Hardy to wrestle, I don't have an issue, because they're there to help the young guys, they're not gonna win belts, and don't say well Christian won the IMPACT title, yeah IMPACT, that was Scott D'Amore's decision, not Tony Khan's, Christian has been putting Jurassic Express, especially Jungle Boy over so much, Jericho has now lost twice to MJF, Hardy is there to help guys like Private Party. Sting helping Darby, plus proving that WWE was wrong, he still has it. The others brought in are still in their prime or can go, like Miro, Moxley, Bryan when he debuts, Bray too if he does, Malakai Black, Andrade, PAC, Spears, all were either underutilized or just not used properly, never backed like a Cena, Roman, Brock, etc.. were.

As for Henry & Wight, Henry is a commentator, Wight too, but he will wrestle, 1 match to defend his good friend Tony Schivanoe vs QT Marshall.

Becky Lynch just squashed Bianca Belair. Way to build your new young star crowned at Wrestlemania. Lynch could have beat Belair in a good match and it would have been fine. The better solution of course would have been to actually tease the match for the next PPV and write a good story. This company is just about creating moments and not storylines. It´s always short term booking.

This is my issue with WWE, they don't have a vision long term, they seems to go week by week with Vince tearing up the script almost weekly, like you said, Belair, a star IMO, gets squashed by Becky, who is a star, why not put on a 5 star match, both are amazing from what I've seen, I haven't seen much Belair, but when I watched WWE I saw the beginning of the Four Horsewomen of NXT coming up, loved Becky so much, didn't give a s**t about her voice, forget who it was that had her promos canceled cause he didn't like her voice. Anyway, they don't know long term booking, look at AEW, they've been doing this from day 1, Mox/Omega was basically 1yr in the making, Omega/Page is still gonna happen, he's gonna beat Omega likely in Feb at Revolution to take the belt, now isn't the time for Page to win or for Omega's run to end. the whole MJF/Jericho long term storyline booking, before that Orange Cassidy/Jericho. So many more, and much more to come. The only thing AEW lacks is a real women's division, if they can get AJ Lee(would be either Mendez or Brooks, since she can't use Lee), and maybe Tessa, the Women's division is then much better to go with Statlander(a star in the making), Shida, Riho, Baker, Thunder Rosa, an improved Penelope Ford, a more developed Jade Cargill, and others.

Was looking for an article from years ago, can't remember if it was Sandow or Barrett after they got released (or maybe somebody else). Basically said that Vince thinks that the kids from these generations all have ADHD and that's the reason why he rarely does long term booking anymore.

And I can actually seeing that as being true. He probably does think that this is the way to book now, at least since his target audience is geared more towards kids. The random rivalries that would just form out of the blue, and only last a PPV has been going for quite a bit now.

I am okay with 1-3 month feuds. They just need to do a better job balancing the outcomes. The top guys, reigns, orton, and whoever else they put at the top permanently can go over 90% of the time on mid carders trying to step up.

But i do not recall bray wyatt ever winning a feud or rusev. I imagine quite a few more since i haven't followed WWE since 3hr raws and the brand split.

WTF

Huh? He came out after Reigns won. They showed the whole thing. Reigns and Heyman got out of the ring and walked away
Wrestling needs tiers

THEE TIPPITY TOP, great promo and virtually unbeatable and these guys do not need belts. Think the rock, austin, undertaker, even brock. Nobody fits this now, even brock.

The championship contenders, good/great promos, ring work, or believeable. These guys need to win belts or disregard them. Think nash, punk, styles, lashley, then mid guys trying to break in to this category.

Then mid carders(intercontinental, US)
The boss level, the nash's, punk's, and styles' who come down to hold the belt and a few who park here to protect their character.

The IC contenders

Then the TV title contenders.

I loved when cena, AJ, and then cody did the open challenges, that should be the TV title. the star dominates almost never losing but it allows new people to rub, an occasional feud, and losses do not hurt the contenders.

It is also a great way for heel heat, cheat every week and then put over a new face.

It just amazes me AEW features more wrestlers in 4 hours than WWE in 7 hours.

Bray & Rusev(Miro) were never really given much, yet both got way over, Bray with the Fiend, Rusev with Rusev Day, Bray had feuds, but he was always buried, whether it was Cena, Orton, or others, Rusev was never pushed properly, he has the look & talent to be a main eventer, yet Vince refused to push him.

It just seems like everyone who comes to WWE, who goes to NXT, and gets called up, Vince screws them up, then releases them.

Good for Joe, glad to see him win after all the health issues. I wonder why Scarlett wasn't seen with Kross. I know there was a rumor of separating then but that really sucks if it's true.
