This was a great promo back and forth between 2 of the best on the mic's. Punk calls MJF a lesser famous Miz, MJF brings up Punk being 2nd best to everyone, like The King of Kings, or how he can't believe he's not preaching hustle, loyalty, & respect(Cena), Punk & MJF were great last night, the show was really good, the main event was good, the crowd was on fire, they threw Cody's belt back after he threw it into the crowd, lol. Malakai Black is such a star, PAC too.
The confrontation between Bryan Danielson & Hangman Adam Page was great, Thunder Rosa beating Jamie Hayter thanks to a missed superkick by Britt, Hayter looked pissed.
MJF is unbelievable for such a young talent. Great promo, great wrestler, smart man, sky is the limit for him.
The main event was excellent. Death Triangle f**king rules. Pac is phenomenal.
I really liked the Thunder Rosa/Jamie Hayter match. The finish is clever because it serves three storylines at the same time. You have Thunder Rosa winning the match and advancing in the tournament. You have Thunder Rosa facing her arch-nemesis Britt Baker before their match at Revolution probably. And then they teased a little bit the Jamie Hayter´s turn on Britt.
I wouldn't turn Punk heel, keep him a babyface, I want a Punk/MJF match, this is where MJF beats Punk for Punk's first loss.
I love Death Triangle, I'm glad they didn't break them up, cause Penta, Fenix, & PAC together are awesome.
I also agree with Thunder Rosa vs Britt Baker at Revolution, and Rosa will win the belt IMO, cause Revolution isn't until February or March.
And yes MJF is so damn good, he makes you want to hate him, he knows how to get the crowd to boo him, insults everyone and their mom, he's great on the Mic, and in the ring, he's the future of not just AEW, but wrestling overall, I agree he, Jungle Boy, Sammy, & Darby are the 4 pillars of AEW, the foundation, I love all 4, I'm a huge Sammy Guevara fan, so glad he won the TNT title. Love Jurassice Express, and what they're doing with Christian Cage as a mentor type, who I also like, think he's done a great job.
I don't look at spoilers, so idk what happens on Rampage tonight, but can't wait for Cole/Fish vs I think Orange Cassidy & Wheeler Yuta. Also Britt vs Riho.
I saw a video, well, I didn't watch it, but after the show in Chicago, Punk came out dressed as Britt Baker lol. You can tell Punk is just happy to be back in pro wrestling, in a company that gives their fans what they want, gives their wrestlers creative freedom, and just being a true wrestling company, yes they have some entertainment and silly things, but, whatever, it's better than anything WWE has done in years.
Also Battle for the Belts in January on TNT? I think, or maybe it's TBS, it's cool how with the new TV deal, Dynamite will always be live Wednesday's on TBS, Rampage on TNT, then 4 special events on TNT/TBS, plus the 4 PPVs(Revolution, Double or Nothing, All Out, & Full Gear), which I think is smart to not go too overboard, and I can't believe how much they can fit into 2 hours or 1 hour, it's crazy, even with the 20 minute promo back and forth with Punk & MJF, they still had a lot in there.
So much good talent too, guys like Ricky Starks, Powerhouse Hobbs, Dante Martin, Wardlow, FTR, PnP, Ethan Page, Scorpio Sky, so much talent, and they get them all time, whether on TV or on their 2 YouTube shows(Dark & Elevation), which I think is a smart move for AEW to do, also at most you're working 3-4 days a week if both Dynamite & Rampage are live, plus Dark & Elevation tapings, & if there is a PPV.
