Cody and Brandi are leaving AEW. His contact had expired and he was renegotiating but a deal was never had. He is in talks with WWE about a return.
If Cody is out then bring in Gargano.

Pretty crazy. Just a couple weeks ago he was saying how he's about to take "fans on a crazy ride" or something like that. Didn't think he was talking about this lol.
If he goes back to WWE that would pretty messed up by him. He's been constantly taking shots at them since he came to AEW...

It could be a work with Cody playing the role of the heel that resent the fans because they love guys like CM Punk or Danielson that came way after Cody.
But he really seems to be going to WWE and I think I don´t understand it from Cody ´s perspective. Sure he will have a big fat contract but is he going to be a main eventer? In WWE? With Vince? The reason they signed him is just to say "Look we signed one of the top guy of AEW. We signed the John Cena of AEW.". It´s just a way to justify losing all their talents and specially Danielson and Adam Cole. But at the end of the day, Vince will still see the same Cody Rhodes he didn´t want to push before. So from a WWE perspective, yes you sign him every day of the week. But Cody? I think he has less competition to be a main eventer today in WWE but Vince is still the booker and he saw nothing in him for 10 years.
Besides I don ´t think it´s that much of a big deal for Tony Khan. I mean Cody was a weird guy to book for AEW. They have so many guys better than him at the top of the card. I mean Omega, Danielson, Mox, Hangman, CM Punk, MJF, Adam Cole, PAC, Miro, Malakai Black are all better. That´s 10 guys that would make better choices as AEW champion than Cody. Yet Cody is Cody in AEW and you have to push him as a top guy. So he was always in his Cody Verse or Cody Island far away from the rest of AEW.
Cody is really good don´t get me wrong but clearly if WWE wanted to sign the guy that would be a true game changer, they would have signed Omega. Now yes, it would have been a major blow for Tony Khan to lose Kenny.

Ya agree with most of this. I like Cody, but he's not as good as some of those guys you listed.
I just think it's really weird with the timing of it. The build up to his character has been really good over the past couple of months, it sucks that we won't get that "heel" turn or whatever he was trying to do.

I blame his ugly ass tattoo. Anyone who willingly puts that on their neck obviously is having some issues.

Vince is getting desperate. Trying to push a Austin/Owens match for mania. I hope Austin has enough respect for himself to not do this. He already daid he wont wrestle again. and it would probably be one of those 2 minute Goldberg like matches anyway. I was wondering why he had a ring built at his ranch over the summer .

Seems like a move to try and sell out both nights at AT&T stadium.

Ill watch if SC wrestlers.
I mean it's gonna be whatever, it's not like Austin was a great wrestler anyways. He'll throw some punches, kick him in the corner, Thaz Press, then Stunner

Kenny's not going anywhere, he gets to be with his real life friends, The Young Bucks, Adam Cole, & Hangman, I wonder if the report of infighting with the EVPs was true, & The Bucks & Kenny have issues with Cody.
