Wrestling Thread (WWE, AEW, etc)

Just saw on WWE.com that Santino will be facing Mark Henry for a spot in the MITB ladder match. Something about Henry in a ladder match seems out of place but I'd rather see him in it instead of Santino.

The rumor mill has Cena becoming a heel.


They might as well do that at this point.

Dude didn't get much of a pop , even in his hometown.

I kinda liked him as a badguy anyway.

His freestyles were hilarious.

I doubt he'd win MITB b/c they usually have the winner of that be some guy who is just starting to get into the main event scene. Edge never was a main eventer until he won it, RVD never was looked at as a serious contender until he won it, Kennedy was gonna get a title shot before he got hurt, and Punk won it when he was used as ECW's #1 guy which is really like a midcarder on Raw/Smackdown. Its gonna be some guy that will be on the verge of moving up although I'm not sure who yet. I dont see Punk repeating or Kane winning it or definitely not the winner of the Santino/Henry match tonight.

Cena really has to go back to being a heel its really hard to take him seriously anymore. The only thing that might factor in him not going heel is that his entire fan base of 10 and under will cry their lil eyes out if he turns into the bad guy.

If Cena were to be in it, it too would be predicatable that'd he would win so the best thing would be to have him as an injury replacement and would be a surprise entrant. The likelihood is that he will somehow end up in the match with Edge (unless the talk of Cena vs Hogan comes true). There is no way that the biggest face in the WWE would be left off of the WM25 card. Let's just hope it's Edge-Cena and not a triple threat match with Big Show as it would be a better match.

Hopefully Christian wins MITB and gets drafted to SD so they can push an Edge-Christian feud.

I can actually see Cena fighting Jericho for the Legends and Rourke as well if the Hogan-Cena match doesn't happen. Also they won't push and Edge-Christian feud too fast since they already have a brothers rivalry going on right now with the Hardys and I dont think the WWE ever stated that Edge and Christian weren't actually brothers.

WWE is never going to push Cena heel, at least not while he sells so much merch.

He looks chubby, and has short hair.

HBK's first match definitely wasn't in AWA, but it sounds like they're early in the Midnight Rockers run, which was awseome.
