FS Eric Reid had a successful surgery today to repair the torn biceps injury that he suffered in the fourth quarter of the San Francisco 49ers' loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday. Reid is out for the season but posted an adorable post-surgery photo on Instagram today.

"Praise be to God! I woke up to a smiling Doctor McAdams and knew that the surgery went well," Reid wrote on Instagram. "I'm so thankful and grateful for all the love and support that I've gotten from my family, friends, and fans. I'm already counting down the days until I'm back!"

In his fourth season with the 49ers since being selected by the team in the first round of the 2013 draft, Reid has 251 career tackles, a sack, 30 passes defended, eight interceptions, and two forced fumbles. This season, he had 48 tackles and one interception through 10 games.

Reid has played in 742 total snaps this season and is currently the 63rd ranked safety in the NFL, per advanced statistics site Pro Football Focus. That is a big drop from Week 1 where he was ranked as their top safety in the NFL.
