Top Pick Thomas Poised for Big Step Forward in Year No. 2

As the No. 3 pick in last year's NFL draft, Solomon Thomas came to the 49ers wrapped in high expectations.Yet by November, 49ers general manager John Lynch already said he was hearing some people say Thomas was a disappointment and "should be a little more dynamic.""We knew it would be a process," Lynch told Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee. "I mean, he's a young kid that I think, physically, he's going to grow in stature."Thomas had a fairly understated rookie season, with three sacks, a fumble recovery and 41 tackles over 12 games.
