Goodwin spent three seasons with the 49ers, initially joining the team in 2017, before being traded to the Philadelphia Eagles on April 25, 2020. The receiver opted out of the 2020 season due to concerns surrounding COVID-19 and reverted back to San Francisco on March 16, forcing the Niners to surrender a seventh-round pick to Philadelphia.
The next day, San Francisco released Goodwin from the reserve/opt-out list.
The Buffalo Bills made Goodwin a third-round selection out of Texas in 2013. He hauled in 12 passes for 186 yards with a touchdown through nine games and six starts with the 49ers in 2019 before landing on injured reserve.
Goodwin, 30, has caught 140 passes for 2,323 yards with 13 touchdowns through his seven NFL seasons.
