The San Francisco 49ers have released the list of inactive players for their Week 8 matchup on the road against the Chicago Bears. These players will not suit up for Sunday's game.
Tackle Trent Williams was listed as "questionable" for today's game. It looks like the veteran offensive lineman is good to go as he was not listed among the team's inactive players. Williams has been dealing with an ankle injury that forced him to miss Week 7.
Linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair (concussion) and defensive end Dee Ford (concussion) were both listed as "doubtful" on Friday and then downgraded to "out" on Saturday. Cornerback Deommodore Lenoir was also downgraded to "out," but for personal reasons.
On Saturday, San Francisco activated defensive tackle Kevin Givens from injured reserve and tight end Jordan Matthews and safety Kai Nacua from the practice squad. The team placed defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw (knee) and safety Jaquiski Tartt (knee) on injured reserve and the roster exemption for defensive end Jordan Willis (six-game suspension) was lifted.
Rookie offensive lineman Aaron Banks returns to the inactive list after being active for the first time last week. Another rookie, cornerback Ambry Thomas, is inactive for the fifth time in the past six games.
