The San Francisco 49ers have released the list of inactive players for their Week 18 matchup on the road against the Los Angeles Rams. These players will not suit up for Sunday's game.
Inactives:
- LB Azeez Al-Shaair (knee)
- LB Marcell Harris (Achilles)
- DL Maurice Hurst (calf)
- CB K'Waun Williams
- T Trent Williams (elbow)
- DB Jarrod Wilson
Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is active despite still dealing with a right thumb injury. He is expected to start against the Rams with rookie Trey Lance, last weekend's starter, slated to serve as his backup. On Friday, the 49ers listed Garoppolo as "questionable."
Tackle Trent Williams, who did not practice this past week and was listed as "questionable" too, is inactive. Rookie Jaylon Moore, who is celebrating his 24th birthday, will likely start in place of Williams.
Update: Based on pre-game warmups, it looks like Colton McKivitz will start in place of Williams.
Starting slot cornerback K'Waun Williams is also inactive, which could be concerning considering Deommodore Lenoir is the lone 49ers player remaining on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
#49ers nickel back K'Waun Williams cleared protocols and was activated off the reserve/COVID-19 list on Saturday. But he did not feel well enough to play, according to a source. He is inactive for this game against the Rams.

On Saturday, the 49ers activated cornerback Emmanuel Moseley off of injured reserve. He is active for the game. Safety Jimmie Ward and cornerbacks Dontae Johnson and K'Waun Williams were activated off the reserve/COVID-19 list while linebacker Mark Nzeocha and recently-added cornerback Darqueze Dennard were activated from the practice squad.
Linebacker Curtis Robinson was also activated from the practice squad as a COVID-19 replacement.
