49ers activate Trenton Cannon from IR, announce other roster moves head of Rams game

The San Francisco 49ers announced the following roster moves ahead of Sunday's NFC Championship Game matchup against the Los Angeles Rams.

Activated from injured reserve:
  • RB Trenton Cannon
Activated from the practice squad (standard elevations):
  • LB Mark Nzeocha
  • QB Nate Sudfeld
Waived:
  • WR River Cracraft

Cannon suffered a concussion on December 5, 2021, against the Seattle Seahawks and was placed on injured reserve on December 11, 2021. San Francisco opened his practice window on January 12.

The winner of Sunday's game will represent the NFC in the playoffs. San Francisco is coming off a 13-10 win over the Green Bay Packers in the Divisional Playoff round while Los Angeles knocked off the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 30-27. The Rams are a 3.5-point favorite over the 49ers.

The two teams will announce their inactive players 90 minutes ahead of kickoff.
