San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey has once again found his way into the end zone. Sunday marks his 17th consecutive game, playoffs included, where he has scored a touchdown. McCaffrey's two-yard touchdown run came in the first quarter, tying the game 7-7.


This achievement ties the NFL record held by former Baltimore Colts running back Lenny Moore, who has held this record since the 1960s.

Previously, the 49ers' franchise record was in the hands of wide receiver Jerry Rice, who recorded 12 consecutive games with a touchdown in 1987. McCaffrey also surpassed Rice with his 14th consecutive regular-season game with a touchdown. Rice reached the end zone in 13 straight regular-season games from 1986 through 1987.

McCaffrey's touchdown on Sunday marked his 12th of the season and an impressive 72nd of his career. Entering Week 8, he boasted 826 all-purpose yards, with a league-leading 11 total touchdowns.
