Second-year player Nick Zakelj is done for the year. Head coach Kyle Shanahan revealed that the offensive lineman is slated for season-ending surgery on a torn biceps.
The injury occurred during Sunday's 34-3 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, with the coach saying, "It wasn't like your normal tear. It was a little one that was high, and [he] complained about it all day. We sent him in (for an MRI), and it had a slight tear, and got a couple of opinions. They said it's only going to get worse, so we had to do the surgery."
Update: According to the NFL transaction wire, the 49ers officially placed Zakelj on the injured reserve list.

The 49ers are holding three practices ahead of Sunday's Week 11 home game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Buccaneers are coming off a 20-6 victory over the Tennessee Titans.
