The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 15 contest against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

After participating on Wednesday, Aaron Banks sat out Thursday's practice with a hip injury. However, the guard was seen in the weight room as practice started.

Additionally, cornerback Charvarius Ward, linebacker Dre Greenlaw, running back Elijah Mitchell, and defensive linemen Javon Hargrave and Arik Armstead were among those who did not practice. However, Ward and Hargrave were seen working on the side. Both sustained their injuries against the Seattle Seahawks. Earlier this week, head coach Kyle Shanahan stated that Ward and Hargrave have a chance to suit up for this weekend's game.

Armstead is expected to miss his second consecutive game.

Despite Greenlaw not participating in practice this week, defensive coordinator Steve Wilks informed reporters that he anticipates the linebacker playing against the Cardinals.

Guard Spencer Burford returned to practice after being among the team's seven inactive players against the Seahawks. So did cornerback Ambry Thomas after being excused from Wednesday's session for a personal matter.

Below are Thursday's practice participation reports for both the 49ers and Cardinals, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff.
