Former San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks cornerback, and current NFL analyst, Richard Sherman, was arrested for driving under the influence (alcohol) early Saturday morning, according to Washington State Patrol. Sherman was booked for DUI at the King County (Washington) Jail at 4:51 am. The incident, first reported by Fox 13 in Seattle, is currently being investigated, so no other details have been released at this time.

Sherman faced legal troubles back in 2022 for misdemeanor DUI and domestic violence charges. In a video from that event, Sherman was visibly angry and trying to break down the front door of his father-in-law's home. The former star defensive back later pled guilty to first-degree negligent driving, and second-degree criminal trespass, as well as speeding in a construction zone. Sherman did not serve any time in jail for that incident. He was, however, ordered to pay more than $2,500 in court fees, and was assigned to have monitored supervision for two years.
Sherman is a five-time All-Pro who has worked as an NFL commentator for Amazon Prime for the past two seasons. In addition, the former 49ers corner joined FS1's Undisputed with Skip Bayless last season.
