The San Francisco 49ers are set to host their local pro day this Wednesday afternoon, offering numerous draft prospects a prime opportunity to display their skills before the team's coaches, scouts, and front-office personnel.
However, it won't be just draft hopefuls on the field in Santa Clara. According to Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area, several others, including a former third-round draft pick, quarterback Kellen Mond, will try out for the team.
Maiocco's report also names tight ends Curtis Hodges, Hunter Kampmoyer, and Tommy Sweeney among those expected to attend.
In addition those invited to take part in #49ers local pro day Wednesday, veteran tryouts are expected with QB Kellen Mond (Texas A&M), and TEs Curtis Hodges (Arizona State), Hunter Kampmoyer (Oregon) and Tommy Sweeney (Boston College). Mond was Vikings 3rd-round pick in 2021.

The Minnesota Vikings drafted Mond out of Texas A&M as the No. 66 overall pick in 2021. He appeared in one game as a rookie, completing two of his three pass attempts for five yards. Aside from preseason games, those were the only three offensive snaps of his NFL career.
The Cleveland Browns claimed Mond off waivers ahead of the 2022 season. Mond spent last season on the Indianapolis Colts practice squad. Currently a free agent, the quarterback seeks to impress the 49ers.
The 49ers will release the local pro day participants roster on Wednesday morning.
