Quick Takeaways

Quarterback Brock Purdy completed 22 of 30 pass attempts for 292 yards and three touchdowns, earning a passer rating of 137.1. Purdy also added 41 rushing yards on 10 carries. His 91.1 Pro Football Focus grade was the highest of any player in the game and his best since Week 10 of last season against the Jacksonville Jaguars, when he scored a 91.7 grade. Purdy was the highest-graded quarterback in Week 3.

Wide receiver Jauan Jennings had a career performance, catching 11 passes for 175 yards and all three of Purdy's touchdown throws. Jennings became just the second player in franchise history—joining Jerry Rice—to record 10 or more receptions, 150 or more receiving yards, and three or more touchdown catches in a single game. His 90.5 overall grade was the second-highest in the game and a personal best for the 27-year-old. Jennings was Week 3's highest-graded wideout.

Despite posting a solid 74.3 overall grade, tackle Trent Williams saw his lowest mark of the season. Williams' overall grade has declined for the second consecutive week, with the veteran surrendering three pressures against the Rams, bringing his season total to eight through three games.

Running back Jordan Mason narrowly missed being among the top five 49ers offensive players, earning a 64.2 overall grade. Mason finished the game with 77 yards on 19 carries.

Wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk caught five passes for 48 yards on 10 targets, earning the seventh-highest grade among his offensive teammates at 63.1.

Wide receiver Ronnie Bell was credited with two drops, including a critical late-game drop that could have changed the game's outcome. His 26.4 drop grade contributed to a disappointing 39.8 overall grade.

Defensive tackle Maliek Collins recorded the highest grade among his defensive teammates, tying with Javon Hargrave for the team lead with five pressures. Collins also notched his first sack as a Niner, earning a team-high 83.5 pass-rush grade.

Safety Ji'Ayir Brown was the top-graded defensive back in the game, with a respectable 75.7 coverage grade and an impressive, team-leading 80.8 tackling grade. His 71.6 overall grade marked his highest of the season.

Although linebacker Fred Warner recorded his lowest overall grade of the season (71.0), including a 54.5 coverage grade, he still holds a career-high 94.3 overall grade on the season. Warner also led the game with an 85.5 run defense grade.

Defensive end Leonard Floyd has yet to surpass a 47.4 overall grade this season and has seen his marks drop for two consecutive weeks. Floyd has one sack this season, which came in Week 1. Floyd's 36.5 overall grade from this game is his lowest since Week 18 of the 2021 season against the 49ers, when he earned a 31.8 grade.
