San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel was initially expected to miss two games with a calf strain. However, after sitting out just one game, he returned to practice this week and was listed as questionable for this weekend's matchup against the New England Patriots.
According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, Samuel plans to suit up for the Week 4 game.

The 49ers, coming off back-to-back losses, are looking to improve their 1-2 record in Sunday's game at Levi's Stadium.
Samuel spoke with reporters this week, confirming that his original recovery timeline aligned with what the team had anticipated.
"I mean, that's what the case was," Samuel said. "But I came back feeling pretty good, and we went to practice the past two days still feeling good, so we'll just see how it goes."
Samuel's return provides a much-needed boost for a 49ers offense still without running back Christian McCaffrey, who is recovering from Achilles tendinitis.
San Francisco selected Samuel out of South Carolina in the second round (No. 36 overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft. This season, he has recorded 13 receptions for 164 yards through two games.
