The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their Week 5 contest against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

Linebacker Fred Warner and tight end George Kittle missed practice for the second consecutive day. However, both were seen working on a side field during the portion open to the media. After testing his ankle, Warner left for the weight room before team drills began.

"My plan is obviously to play (against the Cardinals)," Warner said on Wednesday. "That's my hope. I'm just going to continue to listen to what the training room wants me to do and take it one day at a time."

Warner injured his ankle just before halftime during Sunday's game against the New England Patriots and did not return. Kittle, who sustained a rib injury, managed to return to the game.

When discussing Fred Warner and George Kittle during a Thursday radio interview, head coach Kyle Shanahan said, "They're two guys that, if they don't practice, they're still two guys who can definitely play on Sunday. So, hopefully, they'll get there."
