The San Francisco 49ers are hosting the Kansas City Chiefs at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California. While the 49ers continue to be without running back Christian McCaffrey, who remains on injured reserve, rookie wide receiver Ricky Pearsall made his NFL debut just seven weeks after being shot in the chest during a robbery attempt.
The 49ers also entered this Super Bowl rematch without wide receiver Jauan Jennings, sidelined with a hip injury. Additionally, the team is on its third kicker in as many games, with Jake Moody out due to an ankle injury and Matthew Wright placed on injured reserve. Anders Carlson was elevated from the practice squad to handle kicking duties against the Chiefs.
Below are the latest in-game injury updates for the 49ers.
WR Brandon Aiyuk (knee, out)
Brandon Aiyuk took a hit to the leg late in the first half after hauling in a pass from quarterback Brock Purdy. He stayed on the ground for a moment but eventually walked off the field with a noticeable limp.

WR Deebo Samuel (illness, out)
Wide receiver Deebo Samuel had already left for the locker room when Aiyuk was injured. He had been playing through an illness, and wide receiver Jauan Jennings is inactive due to a hip injury.
Although Samuel was initially listed as questionable, he returned to the sidelines in street clothes in the second half, signaling he would not return. The 49ers later confirmed his status, officially ruling him out.
