If there is one similarity between life and football, it's that things can change in a hurry. Take Ricky Pearsall and the 49ers as a clear example of that. After being drafted with the 31st overall pick in the draft, Pearsall appeared to be a luxury for a high-powered offense with extensive ammunition at the skill positions. Especially after a resolution on a contract extension was made with Brandon Aiyuk, there seemed to be no possible way that wide receiver depth would be a problem for San Francisco.
