The San Francisco 49ers have a challenging task ahead of them. The team is coming off yet another heartbreaking loss, this time a 20-17 defeat to the Seattle Seahawks. It marked the third time this season the 49ers have surrendered a fourth-quarter lead of four or more points, highlighting a troubling trend.

Next up is a tough road matchup against the 7-3 Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field. The Packers, who have won five of their last six games, will be eager to exact revenge against the 49ers, who eliminated them from the playoffs in two of the past three seasons.

For the first time this season, the 49ers are betting underdogs. They had been favored in every previous game, including their Week 7 Super Bowl rematch against the Kansas City Chiefs, which they lost 28-18.

As of Monday afternoon, BetMGM lists the Packers as two-point favorites. While the 49ers have won the last two postseason matchups against Green Bay, the Packers have prevailed in the previous two regular-season meetings.

Sitting at 5-5, the 49ers aim to climb back above .500 and stay competitive in the NFC West race. This game could prove pivotal in a 2024 campaign falling short of the team's and its fans' high expectations.
