This week, 49ers receiver Deebo Samuel Sr. admitted to frustration regarding his lack of involvement in the offense. Last night, he had a different reason to be frustrated.During San Francisco's first drive of the second half in a snoozer of a 3-3 game, the 49ers faced third and 10 from the L.A. 29. Quarterback Brock Purdy his Samuel in stride and at full speed. He had a good chance to take the ball all the way to the end zone.He dropped it."That was a big one," coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters after the 12-6 loss, "third down and with Deebo's skillset, I would've been shocked if he didn't score on the play. Everyone knows the answer to that, Deebo too, he needs to catch that ball."The fans knew it. They let him hear some of their own frustration after the drop."I feel like if I make that play, we win the game," Samuel told reporters after the game.Kittle otherwise had a quiet night. He had two carries for three yards, and three catches (on seven targets) for 16 yards. It was just part of an overall, 191-yard 49ers offensive effort that Shanahan described in three words: "Not good enough."
