The 49ers' season has not played out as hoped, which means that they are looking ahead to better times in 2025 and Monday night's game brought a hopeful performance from rookie wide receiver Ricky Pearsall. Pearsall had 17 catches for 190 yards and a touchdown in his first nine games, but the first-rounder broke out for his biggest individual outing in the 40-34 loss to the Lions. Pearsall had eight catches for 114 yards, including a juggling, one-handed grab he made while going out of bounds in the first quarter. Pearsall also caught a touchdown and said the performance was what he expects out of himself now and in the future. "That's what they brought me here to do, so I'm going to continue to do that," Pearsall said, via 49ersWebzone.com. "And for me, like I said earlier, it's no surprise for me and myself. I've got all the confidence in the world in myself."The offseason is sure to bring changes to the 49ers and one difference in 2025 should be a bigger role in the offense for Pearsall.
