NFL teams can officially begin negotiating with impending unrestricted free agents, and the Kansas City Chiefs wasted no time. According to Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated, they are signing San Francisco 49ers offensive tackle Jaylon Moore to a two-year, $30 million deal. He will protect quarterback Patrick Mahomes' blindside.
San Francisco selected Jaylon Moore (6-4, 311) in the fifth round (No. 155 overall) of the 2021 NFL Draft out of Western Michigan. Initially a tight end in high school, Moore transitioned to the offensive line upon entering college.

Since joining the 49ers, Moore has provided valuable depth along the offensive line. In 2024, he gained crucial experience by starting five games in place of the injured Trent Williams. However, his season was cut short when he was placed on injured reserve on December 25 due to a quad injury.
Moore, 27, has appeared in 55 games with 12 starts over his four NFL seasons. He ended the 2024 season with his highest-ever offensive grade from Pro Football Focus (74.9), allowing one sack and 10 pressures across 158 pass-blocking snaps.
