According to KFFL, Matt Maiocco, of the Santa Rosa Press Democrat, reports the San Francisco 49ers have held preliminary discussions with DT Bryant Young's agent about his future with the team. Young said he is not thinking about 2007 and beyond, but the team would like to have him back if Young is willing to play another season. "There have been discussions from the standpoint of what he wants to do and what we'd like to do," said 49ers vice president of player personnel Scot McCloughan. "We'd love to have him around. As long as he keeps showing he can play and help us win games, he's a huge asset."
Also of note, Rashaun Woods was released by the San Diego Chargers.
